Inspiration: The older we get, the harder it is to keep in touch. The internet is the best medium for communication out there. We should use it. None of us keep journals. We’re busy and journals are time consuming, but it might be cool to think about a prompt or two.
Project: The Mod (me) will post two prompts a week from the book 642 Things to Write About, in the order presented in the book. Use one or both of the prompts posted to write a short blurb.
Medium: Livejournal (Old fashioned, but reliable and easy to use. Also easy for those who consider Facebook the devil (AHEM.). For those of us who have accounts, you can use your old accounts or make new ones.)
Notes: If we post a couple of prompts a week from this book, that's a little less than a year. Let’s see how this goes before planning too far ahead. If you hate one prompt, you can do the second. Bring your life, your current experiences. I want this to be a community too.
Rules (they’re more like guidelines, anyway): • Post once a week. Even if it’s only one line to a prompt (it still fits the second rule). • Try to keep it under or around 800 words (if you so feel inspired, post the allotted words in the group and link it to your own page.) • Comment once a week (community people! And, always, try not to be an ass)
PUNishments are at Mod’s whim. (“Fear me, love me, do as I say, and I will be your slave.”)
This goes project goes live July 1st, 2015. Go ahead and whine that it’s not a full week. It’s a holiday weekend, get it together.
